Technical.ly Baltimore Highlights Carey Business School on Baltimore Innovation Week Map

Baltimore Innovation Week is almost here! The fourth annual, week-long celebration of technology and innovation is taking place September 25 – October 3, 2015. In advance of the event, Technical.ly/Baltimore published list and map highlighting 70 of the top tech-friendly firms and organizations in the city. Johns Hopkins Carey Business School made the list.

Innovation is a central and highly distinctive element of the Carey Business School’s Global MBA program. Take, for example, the Innovation for Humanity Project — an international learning experience course that helps develops business leaders through first-hand knowledge in building sustainable businesses in developing markets. Students are immersed into a foreign market and culture. There, they work with local entrepreneurs and community stakeholders to find creative solutions to indigenous business problem.

Innovation is evident elsewhere at Carey. According to a recent press release, Kate McCall-Kiley, a joint MBA/MA Design Leadership student, was named by President Barack Obama as a 2015 Presidential Innovation Fellow.

As we mentioned in past MetroMBA articles, the Presidential Innovation Fellows program pairs talented, diverse technologists and innovators to work with federal employees on improving government programming. According to the program’s website, these teams of government experts and private-sector doers take a user-centric approach to issues at the intersection of people, processes, products, and policy to achieve lasting impact.

You can see the complete list and map from Technical.ly/Baltimore here. Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus also made the list.
