ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: Redonda Miller, MBA 04, Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business

As the New Year came in, Redonda Miller, MD, started her first day as senior vice president of medical affairs at the Johns Hopkins Health System. Miller earned her MBA from the Carey Business School in 2004.

“Redonda has demonstrated remarkable leadership abilities, a strong work ethic and extraordinary interpersonal skills, which will serve her well in her new role,” said Ronald R. Peterson, president of The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System and executive vice president of Johns Hopkins Medicine, in a press release.

According to the press release, Miller will work with the vice presidents of medical affairs, clinical directors and medical staff to strengthen The Johns Hopkins Health System’s efforts to provide safe, efficient and cost-effective health care. The hospitals in Johns Hopkins network include All Children’s Hospital, Howard County General Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital.

Before her promotion, Redonda Miller served as vice president of medical affairs for The Johns Hopkins Hospital since 2009. She began her time at Hopkins while completing her internship and residency in internal medicine as a medical student at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has since served as associate program director of the Osler Residency Program, assistant dean for student affairs and vice chair of clinical operations for the Department of Medicine.

“This new appointment represents formal recognition of her leadership in helping us to enhance coordination across the system as the healthcare industry continues to evolve and become more complex,” Peterson concluded in his statement.
