Military Times announced its Best for Vets: Business Schools 2016 rankings and The George Washington University School of Business once again ranked among the Top 75 Best for Vets Business Schools, coming in 27th nationally.

Of the school’s student population of 1,884, 160 are veterans of the U.S. military. These veterans are enrolled in full-time, part-time, online, executive and joint MBA degree programs. At George Washington, veterans have a graduation rate of 74 percent.

Military Times’ highly respected, 80-question analysis of a school’s complete offerings for veterans scored schools’ survey responses to both its business schools survey and to parts of its colleges survey based on what veterans have said is important to them as well as applying its own editorial judgment. Military Times also factored in Education Department statistics commonly used to track student success and academic quality. The organization comprising Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times focused on universities that cater to the culture and curriculum of veterans when conducting and scoring the annual survey.

“As with all of the Best for Vets rankings, Best for Vets: Business Schools is an editorially independent news project that evaluates the many factors that make an institution a good fit for military veterans,” said Amanda Miller, editor of Military Times EDGE magazine.

Business schools were evaluated in five categories: university culture, student support, academic outcomes and quality, academic policies, and cost and financial aid. The value of each section was comparable, but university culture and student support counted the most, and financial aid counted for the least.
