Women’s Week is coming to College Park. The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is hosting a week-long series of speakers and activities geared to professional growth from March 28 through April 1. Each program is free to attend.

Statistics show that women attending universities in the U.S. earn the majority of degrees, but not at business schools. Women’s Week coincides with Smith School’s pledge to achieve gender parity in Smith MBA programs by the year 2020, which also is the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage.

Sharon Strange Lewis, the Smith School’s Senior Director of Women and Diversity Programs and an executive MBA graduate (’05) of the school, said in a statement on the Smith School Website,

“The series is designed to engage women in a breadth of topics to inform and help grow their professional networks.”
