GWSB Online MBA Program Ranked Highly By U.S. News
According to a press release, the George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) earned high marks for its online graduate programs in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. The newest ranking were released on January 10, 2017.
According to the rankings, the GWSB online MBA program was ranked 29th in the country—up from 44th last year.
“These rankings demonstrate that the GW School of Business has made its mark as an early leader in the field of online education,” GWSB Dean Linda A. Livingstone said. “Our online courses provide digital access to the same high-quality graduate business education we offer in our on-campus programs.”
According to GWSB, the students in the Online MBA program immerse themselves through an optional, four-day residency course in DC, class projects, digital course materials, live learning opportunities and co-curricular experiences.
All coursework can be completed fully online, with additional in-person global and experiential opportunities as well. Digital courses are organized into learning episodes and are broken down into videos, podcasts, animations and other pre-recorded content in addition to traditional reading assignments.
Students also participate in a one hour (per week) guided live classroom sessions per course. Each consists of lectures, case discussions and/or group activities. Live sessions are offered during evenings/weekends and are also recorded and made available to students within the digital platform.
In addition to the high marks for the online MBA, GWSB also ranked in the “Best Online Computer Information Technology Programs” categroy, a new ranking category this year, which includes information systems, computer science, computer engineering and software engineering programs, GWSB’s Online Master of Science in Information Systems Technology (MSIST) program was ranked 15th. GWSB’s non-MBA online graduate programs were ranked 22nd overall.
