McDonough MBA Consulting Club Members Collaborate with Undergrads
Georgetown McDonough MBAs are paying it forward to the undergraduate peers. According to a press release, the McDonough MBA Consulting Club conducted a series of mock case interviews with the undergraduate Management Consulting Society to better prepare the undergrads for upcoming job interviews.
Originally put in motion by the Management Consulting Society, this is the second year these student organizations have collaborated. According to undergrad Danielle Deiotte (’19), the partnership has yielded important educational experiences.
“It was really eye-opening for the undergraduates to practice in a setting that more accurately represented an actual interview,” she said. “Having the added pressure of talking through the case with someone else adds a new dimension to case preparation. The MBA students were invaluable for guiding the case interview and giving helpful feedback.”
Student organizations like the MBA Consulting Club add value to the academic and professional experiences a student has over the course of their MBA. A U.S. News & World Report list describes the following as reasons why it’s a good decision to get involved in a club in college:

- It helps them build community
- It allows them to discover their passions and strengths

“Many of our club members were either in the consulting profession prior to school or recently finished summer internships at consulting firms,” said McDonough MBA Ben Regan. “Because we previously have gone through the consulting interview process, we felt we would be able to add value for undergraduates who are interviewing at firms for the first time.”
