Incoming Howard University Students Learn “Truth and Service” Before Classes Kick Off

As summer break comes to it dramatic conclusion, many prospective MBAs and incoming business school students look forward to orientation, icebreakers and days of syllabus review. Meanwhile, at one of the Washington DC Metro’s most historic universities, all incoming students are invited to continue to build upon a legacy of community service at Howard University’s 3rd Annual Howard University Day of Service (HUDOS) on Friday, August 21, 2015.

According to HUDOS, the university-wide initiative provides an opportunity for incoming students to embrace the Howard University’s motto of “Truth and Service.” HUDOS will focus on six service learning initiatives: education, environmental services, HIV/AIDS, poverty and homelessness, violence, and voter registration. The locations of service are determined by the service project preference selected on the application.

Howard University wants to see students commitment to truth and service as well as their studies while enrolled at the Howard University School of Business. HUSB offers a full-time, traditional MBA, in addition to the part-time MBA and Online Executive MBA. The full-time day program offers superior management education in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment that prepares graduates to enter the global economy as effective leaders, planners, and managers. Meanwhile, the part-time evening program offers the high quality content of the full-time day program to students who wish to continue working during the day.
