Apps Open for Lucas Fall 2015 MBA Programs

Applications for the Fall 2015 graduate programs at the Lucas Graduate School of Business are now open. The deadline for the MBA for Professionals and the Early Career MBA programs is May 1, 2015. All documents required for application are due by May 20, 2015. Applications for both programs must be completed online.

In order to complete the application process at Lucas, prospective students must first register online for an account. After completing the online application, prospective students must provide the admissions office with several supporting documents. The documents include, GMAT/GRE scores, a professional resume and a statement of purpose. MBA students also have the option to provide two letters of recommendation from faculty members or former or current employers.

Lucas Holds MBA Open House

Lucas Graduate School of Business will be holding an upcoming MBA open house. The event will be held Jan. 17, 2015. It will be held from 8 a.m. to noon. The information event will cover both the working professional MBA program and the early career MBA program.

During the event, attendants will be able to learn GMAT/GRE strategies from David Espiritu, Master Tutor/Instructor, Princeton Review, enjoy two mini-lectures from prominent Lucas faculty, hear about career preparation and employment opportunities and meet current Lucas MBA students and alumni. A continental breakfast will be provided to those who attend the event.

Lucas to Hold Honors Info Session

The Sbona Honors Program at the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business will be holding an information session for prospective students. The event will be held Nov. 3, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. The Sbona Honors Information Night is an event for prospective honor students to attend to learn more about the program, ask questions and talk to existing honor students and faculty.

Gary J. Sbona Honors Program is the Honors Practicum for the Lucas College of Business. It was started in 2006 to best prepare our top students for the world of global work by providing them with an opportunity to get real on the job experience as part of their college curriculum. In the best of alumni traditions, Gary J. Sbona, a San Jose State College of Business Alum and successful businessman, agreed to sponsor the program and has committed a substantial amount of money to support the program.

Lucas to Host Entrepreneurship & Innovation Summit

The Lucas Graduate School of Business at San Jose State University will be hosting the 4th Annual Summit on Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The event will be held on September 26, 2014. The event will start at 3:00 p.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. The event is an information session and a seminar for those who attend.

The event will focus on “Building global bridges”, specifically, sourcing and financing global businesses, both new ventures and SMEs. The conference is held in collaboration with the City of San Jose and is sponsored by Alibaba.
