San Francisco State MBAs Honored
Four of the six recipients of the Graduate Business Distinguished Achievement award at the San Francisco State College of Business in 2015 were MBA students, according to a press release from the school. The honorees will receive special recognition during commencement week.
Drucker Students Participate in San Fran Corporate Tour
Eleven students from the Drucker School of Business participated in a three-day trip to San Francisco to explore career paths and meet with leaders from California top companies. Students were taken on the trip by the Drucker School Office of Professional Development and Alumni Relations. The trip took place over the Spring Break and was sponsored by Drucker School alumni, who helped with covering the cost of hotels and keeping travel expenses low for the students.
Students who participated in the trip visited nine businesses in industries such as technology, human resources, manufacturing, gaming, engineering, retail, and microfinance. At each business, students met with leaders from different departments and functions and were introduced to a broad-cross section of management roles and responsibilities.
Wharton SF Holds Entrepreneurs Summit
Wharton San Francisco will be holding the Entrepreneurs Summit. The summit will be held Dec. 10, 2014. The event will provide attendants with an outstanding educational experience combined with one of the best networking opportunities for entrepreneurs.
During the event, industry leaders will participate in three panels, speeches and breakout sessions that address issues affecting early stage, growth stage and industry leading entrepreneurial companies. Those who should attend the event include, current and prospective entrepreneurs, angel and venture investors, managers at emerging growth companies, lawyers, accountants and consultants working with entrepreneurs at all stages and board members and advisors.
Haas Student Comments on Largest Class of Women Pt. 2
Haas School of Business student Ryann Kopacka, MBA ’16, shares her experience of what it is like to be in a class with 43 percent women. This is part two of a blog series from Haas about the large percentage of women who are attending the school.
Kopacka opens her blog entry by explaining that in her undergraduate engineering program, she was part of a class that was only 30 percent women and she was often the only female in a class and almost always the only female in group projects. She shares how she feels about the change in class dynamics with women now being the majority of students.

Wharton San Fran Holds Info Session
Katherine Lilygren, Director of Admissions at the Wharton School San Francisco MBA Program for Executives, is hosting an informal reception in the Westwood, Los Angeles neighborhood. The event will be held October 7, 2014.
This information session offers prospective students the opportunity to hear from alumni and current students who will share their personal insights and experiences with the Wharton Executive MBA program. There will be a brief presentation of the program, followed by a Q&A session with a panel of alumni and students. There will also be time for informal discussions with students, alumni and staff.
Wharton San Fran Offers New Exec. Education Program
The Wharton School, San Francisco is offering a new Executive Education program titled: Business Strategy & Operational Execution: Bridging the Divide. This is a two-part program, with the first part taking place in New York and the second part taking place in San Francisco. The program will be held September 15 to 19, 2014 in New York and November 17 to 21, 2014 in San Francisco. Business Strategy & Operational Execution provides a bridge between the two essential elements of long-term strategy and daily operations. Participants in this program will be given the tools and frameworks for creating effective business strategies and that knowledge will be quickly forged through rapid immersion in a business simulation that works through the key drivers affecting a company’s business operations.
