USC Marshall Hosts First Summit on Future of Tech and Entertainment
On Thursday, March 23 at Shutters Beach in Santa Monica, over 400 people gathered to celebrate leaders in fields vital to Southern California’s thriving entertainment industry. These fields included: Augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, digital media, gaming and e-sports. The summit featured robots, holograms and a variety of other unique tech displays.
Seattle Hosts LGBT Economic Summit
In mid-March, the Greater Seattle Business Association hosted its first ever LGBT economic summit. The goal of the Summit was to bring together LGBT business leaders from five states and Canada to share information, provide critical input on challenges facing the LGBT community, and to build relationships. LBS Global Leadership Summit Projects Majority Will Work Remotely by 2020
As London Business School’s Global Leadership Summit, 2014 participants debated the impact of technology on everything from the creation of the ‘new teenager’ to the office pecking order, an audience of 600 at the Summit organized in collaboration with Deloitte was asked a series of key questions. When asked what percentage of their company’s full-time workforce would be working remotely by 2020, 34% said more than half and 25% said more than three-quarters would not work in a traditional office.
