Texas A&M Full-Time MBA Program Structure
The Mays Business School – Texas A&M full-time MBA program is for those who have at least two years of full-time post-graduate work experience. Students have the option to complete the full-time MBA program in just 16 months, or extend their experience to further customize the MBA degree. Classes are held in a cohort structure of 40 students.
Students participate in a full schedule of classes Monday through Thursday with classes and/or events on occasional Fridays. The Texas A&M full-time MBA program curriculum is completed in 16 months. New programs begin each fall. Courses are held over three 10-week terms and one five-week term in first year; one 15-week semester happens in the second year.
Students in the Texas A&M full-time MBA program complete 49 credit hours over the 16-month curriculum. The first year is divided into three 10-week terms and one five-week term, which allows students to have completed 50% more coursework before their summer internship than most two-year MBA programs. No classes are necessary during the summer months.
Students also have the options to extend their education past the 16-month program and participate in certificate program or a specialization, to further specialize their education to meet career objectives. Certificate programs include: public health, health systems management, entrepreneurship, international business, supply chain management, business management and advanced international affairs. Specializations include, consulting and strategic management, e-commerce, finance, human resource management, information technology and operations, marketing, real estate or a custom-designed specialization.
There were 65 students in the most recent incoming class of the Texas A&M full-time MBA students. The class had a 24 percent acceptance rate. Sixty-nine percent of students in the class were men and 31% women. Students in this class had an average GMAT score of 654 and an average GPA of 3.5. Students had an average of 5.3 years of professional work experience.
Since 2004, Mays School of Business has consistently been ranked no. 1 or tied for no. 1 in terms of MBAs with accepted job offers at 90 days after graduation. In 2015, 94% of graduates secured employment within three months of graduation, with an average starting salary of more than $100,000.
MBA students have access to Graduate Business Career Services. This center provides traditional career services, including position postings, online resume books, career fairs, and off- and on-campus recruiting support. By working individually with students and employers, the GBCS staff can also directly refer highly qualified MBA and masters candidates that are the right fit for specific positions.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The estimated cost for the first year of the Texas A&M full-time MBA program, including tuition and fees is $47,998 for in state residents and $61,510 for out of state residents. This cost includes tuition, room and board, books and supplies and other travel and miscellaneous expenses. The estimated cost for the second year of the program is $21,028 for in state students and $25,972 for out-of-state students.
The second year cost for students who plan on extending their educational period to pursue a certificate program or a specialization is $10,878 for in-state students and $14,828 for out-of-state students.
The Mays Business School accepts federal loans, personal loans, veteran’s education benefits and federal financial aid.
In order to be considered for admission at the Mays School of Business – Texas A&M, candidates must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience, with management experience, a competitive GMAT/GRE score (50th percentile or higher for verbal and quantitative sections), a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a strong academic performance, complete a personal interview with admissions staff and have demonstrated leadership, academic and professional potential.

- Scanned copies of transcripts from each senior-level post-secondary institution attended for review process.
- TOEFL or IELTS score and any required immigration documents for international applicants. Students that take the TOEFL must earn a score of at least 600 on the paper test or 250 for the online test. Those opting to take the IELTS must score a minimum of 7.
- Three letters of recommendation
- Professional resume
