Texas A&M Full-Time MBA Program Structure

The Mays Business School – Texas A&M full-time MBA program is for those who have at least two years of full-time post-graduate work experience. Students have the option to complete the full-time MBA program in just 18 months, or extend their experience to further customize the MBA degree. Classes are held in a cohort structure and around 75 students a year are admitted.
Students participate in a full schedule of classes Monday through Thursday with classes and/or events on occasional Fridays. The Texas A&M full-time MBA program curriculum is completed in 18 months. New programs begin each fall. Courses are held over three 10-week terms and one five-week term in first year; one 15-week semester happens in the second year.

Curriculum

Students in the Texas A&M full-time MBA program complete 49 credit hours over the 18-month curriculum. The first year is divided into three 10-week terms and one five-week term, which allows students to have completed 50% more coursework before their summer internship than most two-year MBA programs. No classes are necessary during the summer months.

Students will complete a specialization as part of their degree. They can choose from a specialization in finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, data analytics, or supply chain and operations. Students also have the option to extend their education past the 18-month program and participate in a certificate program to further specialize their education to meet career objectives. Certificate programs include: public health, health systems management, entrepreneurship, international business, supply chain management, business management, and advanced international affairs.

Class Profile

There were 74 students in the most recent Texas A&M full-time MBA class. The class had a 27 percent acceptance rate. Seventy-four percent of students in the class were men and 26 percent women. Students in this class had an average GMAT score of 649 and an average GPA of 3.32. Students had an average of 4.67 years of professional work experience.

Careers

MBA graduates have a high rate of job placement. About 94 percent of graduates secure employment within three months of graduation, with an average starting salary of more than $100,000.

MBA students have access to Graduate Business Career Services. This center provides traditional career services, including position postings, online resume books, career fairs, and off and on-campus recruiting support. By working individually with students and employers, the GBCS staff can also directly refer highly qualified MBA and masters candidates that are the right fit for specific positions.

Tuition and Financial Aid

The estimated cost for the first year of the 2017 Texas A&M full-time MBA program, including tuition and fees is $60,071 for in-state residents, $77,073 for out of state residents, and $77,200 for international residents. This cost includes tuition, room and board, books, and supplies and other travel and miscellaneous expenses. The estimated cost for the second year of the program is $26,638 for in-state students and $32,119 for out-of-state students.

The Mays Business School accepts federal loans, personal loans, veteran’s education benefits, and federal financial aid.

Admissions Procedures

Admission requirements include having two years of work experience, including management experience, high GRE or GMAT scores, bachelor’s degree, competitive academic record, and the completion of an interview.

TOEFL or IELTS score and any required immigration documents for international applicants. Students that take the TOEFL must earn a score of at least 600 on the paper test or 250 for the online test. Those opting to take the IELTS must score a minimum of 7.
