Olin Students Host Entrepreneurship Forum

The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business held the Babson Entrepreneurship Forum Nov. 14, 2014. The event was entirely student run and was centered on the theme of “Owning the Future.” The event’s panel discussions, keynote speakers and breakout sessions brought more than 25 prominent speakers to the event.

The opening keynote highlighted the newest inductees into Babson’s Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs. Attendees also heard from closing speaker Wayne Chang, Twitter’s Global Head of Developer Experience.

The breakout sessions explored entrepreneurship in the arts, small business culture, family enterprise, rewriting the entrepreneurial rule book, mobile companies that put the world in your pocket and a high powered panel with founders, CEOs, and investors. There were more than 500 attendees from the entrepreneurship, investing, business, Babson and local communities who participated in this year’s forum.

The event was held as the kick off of Global Entrepreneurship Week. The Forum is one of many events planned for the Babson community between Nov. 13 and 20, 2014. These events are part of the thousands of events held in more than 140 different countries that celebrate innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity. Babson’s Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs induction ceremony and Celebration of Entrepreneurs of All Kinds in Boston round out the week’s major events.

The Forum is one of Babson’s flagship annual student initiatives,. The first forum was held in 2002.
