BC Hosts FT MBA Class Visit

The Office of Graduate Management Admissions at Boston College Carroll School of Management will be hosting a class visit for its Full-Time MBA program. The class visit will be held Jan. 27 from 1:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Boston College campus. During this class visit, attendants will visit a Marketing Research class. Prospective students will be able to experience what it means to be a student in the MBA program at BC first hand and meet with current students and get more information on the Full-Time MBA program.

The Full-Time MBA program at BC is a two-year program that combines sequenced courses with experiential learning. Students collaborate with their peers to develop business plans and consulting services as well as form a solid base of networking for their professional careers. During the first semester of the program, students work in team to learn the methods of design thinking and how to apply that thinking to real-world corporate citizenship programs. Each student team works with a corporation to design a social or environmental program that the company is interested in pursuing.

Students work in teams again during the second semester of the program on a consulting project. During this project, students provide consulting services to real clients. The consulting project ends with the Diane Weiss Consulting Competition, where teams present their projects to a panel of leading company CEOs and senior managers.

Students in the Full-Time MBA program are also required to complete a specialization along with the regular curriculum. Specializations are designed to give BC students the opportunity to develop skills and expertise in a specific business area.
