D’Amore-McKim Online MBA Ranked No. 2 in United States

The Financial Times has ranked the online MBA program at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business no. 2 in the United States in its 2015 online MBA program rankings. The online program was also ranked no. 4 globally. Programs that are ranked must be AACSB accredited and have at least 70 percent of their program content delivered online.

The 2015 ranking is based on surveys of schools and of alumni who graduated in 2011. Alumni were asked to rate how well their degree was delivered online and the level of interaction with peers and academic staff. Fifteen schools from the United States and abroad were ranked in the 2015 report. The no. 1 school was IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. The no. 1 US program was Hough Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida.

The online MBA program is an AACSB-accredited program that offers students eight different specializations and optional residencies. The online program is an 18-course (50-credit) program that provides students with a solid foundation in all areas of business enterprise.  Each course in the program lasts between three and five weeks.

Students complete 13 core courses that provide students with a comprehensive range of concepts and knowledge to develop a strong business and management foundation. These courses are structured to allow students to build on their knowledge as they progress through the program. The final five course are made up of electives. Students can pursue a concentration with their MBA degree by completing three out of the five elective courses in a specific area of specialization. Concentration options include finance, health care management, marketing, sustainability and more.

The online program was designed and structured for working professionals. Students typically spend anywhere from 15 to 20 hours a week studying. Class work can be completed in the evening, on weekends and when traveling for business, as well as other times that fit in busy professional schedules.
