International Business Journalist to Speak at Mercer Executive Forum

The Mercer University – Eugene W. Stetson School of Business & Economics Executive Forum will continue this March with speaker Robert Guest, foreign editor of The Economist.

The 2015-2016 Executive Forum is presented by BB&T, and will continue March 10th at the Capital City Club in downtown Atlanta. Guest will speak to Executive Forum members about his experience covering international affairs across the globe. Guest, who has reported from roughly 70 countries and lived in six, will undoubtedly have a global perspective to share with the forum. Guest has met with CEOs and entrepreneurs across the world, and is a graduate of Oxford University in England.

Dean of the Stetson School, Dr. Susan P. Gilbert, commented on the impact of Mr. Guest’s work for current students. “For over 20 years, I have been assigning and recommending The Economist to business school students as one of the most accessible sources of global business news. I am excited to welcome Mr. Guest…to our business enrichment program.”

Before his work with The Economist, Guest worked as the Tokyo correspondent for London’s Daily Telegraph and worked freelance from South Korea. Joining The Economist, his initial role was as the U.S. and business editor, covering American news and politics, and then covering Africa for seven years.

Stetson’s Executive Forum is a business outreach program, aiming to connect business professionals while providing the opportunity for them to hear from leaders in the field. Members of the Executive Forum include businesses, organizations and individuals. The final speaker in the 2015-2016 forum will by Griff Lynch, incoming executive director of Georgia Ports Authority.
