San Fran State Offers Sustainability Boot Camp
The San Francisco State University College of Business will hold a Sustainable Business Boot Camp, which will be co-sponsored by the College of Business Enterprises (COBE) and the Center for Ethical and Sustainable Business. The Sustainable Business Boot Camp is a daylong intensive workshop that will offer seven different sessions from prominent sustainability thought leaders. The workshop will take place on May 30, 2014 at SF State Downtown Campus, 835 Market Street, 5th Floor. These academic and professional sustainable business experts show off many years of experience as published scholars and active consultants. The leaders will share their sustainable business success studies and examples of real-world applications with those who attend the sessions. Professor Mark Starik will open the Sustainable Business Boot Camp. Starik will also be discussing Sustainability, Strategy and policy. Other session topics are sustainability change leadership, sustainable facilities and business development, sustainability, hospitality and tourism management, sustainability, design and fashion, sustainability and economics, and sustainability, finance and accounting. This workshop will deliver important information to attendees and will help to develop applicable and valuable knowledge with aspiring sustainability change-agents across industries such as hospitality, manufacturing, services, and consulting. The one-day session will serve as a boot camp, coaching participants on the application and benefits of applying the best sustainability practices that will work profitably in an organization. There will be a reception to follow the boot camp, which will feature sustainable food. The cost of the sessions to the general public is $295. Alum and current student can attend at a discounted price of $125. There is also a 10 percent discount for multiple attendee registration. Corporate or individual sponsorships are available.
