Smeal Offers Executive Insights Program

The Smeal College of Business at Penn State University is offering an Executive Insights Event featuring Mark Weinberger, global chairman and CEO of EY. The event will be held September 23, 2014. During the event, Weinberger will share his perspectives on business and leadership.

EY is a leading global professional services organization that provides assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services. With 190,000 people in more than 150 countries, it is one of the largest professional services organizations in the world.

Weinberger joined EY in 1987 and has served in a variety of leadership positions for the organization. As chairman and CEO, he serves as chairman of the Global Executive, EY’s highest-level management body; the Global Practice Group; and the Global Public Policy Committee.

During the event he will take part in a moderated discussion with Charles H. Whiteman, John and Becky Surma Dean of Smeal, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the Struthers Auditorium, Room 110 of the Business Building. Weinberger joined EY in 1987 and has served in a variety of leadership positions for the organization.

Weinberger holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University, a MBA and a Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University, and a master of laws in taxation degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Executive Insights is designed to complement the Smeal educational experience by bringing high-profile business leaders to the college to connect with students, faculty, staff and administrators. This program is free and open to the public. Registration must be completed online before attending the event.
