SFSU Holds Sustainable Biz Concentration Open House

The San Francisco State University College of Business will be holding an open house for prospective students. This open house is for the MBA program Concentration in Sustainable Business. The event will be held Jan. 27 at the San Francisco State Downtown Campus. The program will begin at 5 p.m. and last for one hour.

The MBA concentration in sustainable business aims to provide students with an in-depth appreciation of the environmental and social dimensions of conducting business in the global market. Students who pursue the concentration in sustainable business will focus on the three aspects of sustainable business that improve a firm’s long-term performance.

The three aspects of emphasis are: managing risks (regulatory, reputation, litigation, market, etc.), values-driven leadership, and recognizing market opportunities created by environmental and social challenges. The learning outcomes of the concentration curriculum include how to articulate the business case for sustainability, develop and lead internal and external coalitions needed to drive organizational change, and implement metrics for measuring progress and providing accountability.

Courses for the MBA program at the San Francisco State University College of Business are offered exclusively at the Downtown Campus. The MBA program is designed to accommodate needs of both full-time and part-time students. Students can enroll in a part-time or full-time program.

Prospective students who are interested in attending the open house event for the MBA Concentration in Sustainable Business can complete an RSVP email to confirm a place for the event. More information on the MBA program and the other concentrations offered at SF State can be found online.
