Lucas Holds MBA Information Session

The Lucas Graduate School of Business will be hosting an information session for its MBA programs. The event will be held March 5 at 6 p.m. Prospective students can attend the information session at the San Jose State University campus or online. During the event, prospective students can learn about the Early Career MBA, MBA for Professionals and the MBA-One programs.

The Early Career MBA program is designed for students who have less than five years or no professional work experience. Classes for the Early Career MBA program are typically held in the evenings and on Saturdays over eight-week sessions.

Students complete 14 courses (42 units) to gain the knowledge necessary to become a productive and successful leader. Students complete 10 required core courses and four elective courses. Core courses build the knowledge necessary to be successful while elective courses give students an opportunity to concentrate on one specific area of business, such as accounting, marketing or global business development.

The Early Career MBA program can be taken on a full-time or part-time basis. Students enrolled in the full-time program can complete their MBA degree in 21 to 24 months. Students in the part-time program can complete their degree in 3 to 3.5 years.

The MBA-One program is new in the fall 2015 to Lucas. This program is an accelerated program that can be completed in 12 months. The program features an intense academic pace. The MBA-One program curriculum is the same as the Early Career MBA program.

The MBA for Professionals program is designed for individuals with extensive professional work experience. The program offers a high level of flexibility for scheduling. Classes meet off-campus at the Lucas Business Complex in Santa Clara. Courses meet evenings and Saturdays in eight-week sessions year-round with some courses available on-line. This program can be completed in 2 to 3 years.

Registration for the information session can be completed online. The event is free for all prospective students to attend.
