Fox EMBA Ranked No. 1 in Philly

The Executive MBA program at Temple University’s Fox School of Business has been ranked by no. 1 in the Philadelphia region by The Economist. The Economist also ranked the program no. 28 among U.S. colleges and universities and no. 45 globally. The “Which MBA” rankings were released on May 14. The Economist has ranked the Fox EMBA program has been ranked no. 1 in the Philadelphia area since 2013.

The Economist ranks programs on two broad measures for these rankings: personal development/educational experience and career development. In order to complete the rankings, schools with EMBA programs were allowed to classify their own programs as EMBA. Programs can be classified as an EMBA program as long as it is a part-time program and enrolled students with significantly more work experience than those who are completing their full-time MBAs.

The rankings were based on data that was collected through web-based questionnaires between February and April 2015. One questionnaire was filled out by business schools and included questions on the details of students and faculty, the number of overseas assignments required and statistics on alumni; the second was given to current students and alumni from qualifying schools’ last three graduating classes. Seven thousand of these questionnaires were completed.

“The Fox Executive MBA has a strong history of sustained excellence, and we are proud to retain our designation as the best in the Philadelphia region,” said Fox School Dean M. Moshe Porat. “The program leverages critical elements of the Fox School of Business: influential research by elite faculty, a diverse and exceptional student body, and a robust global network of alumni who hold high-ranking positions in various facets of industry.”

The Fox EMBA is a 16 month program. The program is built on face-to-face classroom time delivered one weekend per month and is supplemented by interaction with classmates and faculty through WebEx. Courses for the program are held at The HUB business center located in Center City. More information on the Fox School of Business Executive MBA and the School’s other programs can be found at metromba.com.
