Ageno Alumni Returns to School for Exhibit

Ageno MBA alumni Glen Schofield returned to Golden Gate University for his exhibition “Icons,” according to a press release from the school. Schofield graduated from Ageno in 2002 and then became the co-founder and CEO of Sledgehammer Games. Sledgehammer is behind some of the highest-grossing games of all time, including Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare in 2014 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in 2011. Schofield also earned GGU’s Rising Star Award in 2012, given to those who have extraordinary professional achievements and have made valuable contributions to their community.

“Icons” featured more than 100 black-and-white drawings and acrylic paintings from the artist which feature portraits of influential people who inspired Schofield in his own creative pursuits. Those who attended the event on the first night had an opportunity to meet Schofield and hear him deliver a brief speech.

While art may be his passion, Schofield credits the knowledge he gained from his MBA education to his success in the world of business. “The MBA gave me the confidence I needed as an artist to go into a boardroom with CEOs and presidents of companies and understand what they were saying–now I am right there with them. After I got my MBA I was made VP of Electronic Arts and went from creative leader to business leader. The MBA helped me create the business plan for my studio, and it also taught me how to go deeper into research, deeper than the competition, which has helped me tremendously in the creative process,” he said in a press release.
