Technology Conference at Rady School a Huge Success

Every year, the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego hosts Rady [X], a conference from the Rady Technology Club. This year, the theme was “Analytics in the Wild.” On November 13, more than 200 participants—students, alumni, and industry leaders—came together to discuss how leading technology companies leverage big data for an even greater impact.

The half-day event consisted of two keynote talks by Morgan Vawter, Senior Principle of Marketing and Customer Analytics at Accenture, and Luis Morales, Sr. Director of Experience Intelligence and Insights at Cisco Systems. Other speakers included senior executives from Google, Qualcomm, Modern Analytics, and Urban Insights.

After speeches, a panelist discussion was held, providing attendees with an opportunity for a Q&A session. Attendees also had the chance to enjoy one-on-one face time with the speakers and other industry leaders during the two-hour long mixer portion of the evening.

According to a recent post released from the Rady School, the event was a huge success. It required over two months of preparation and over 30 student volunteers to bring everything together. This second annual, student-organized event will be a part of Rady for years to come.

Other upcoming events at the Rady School include a Rady Japan Information Session on November 23 and a Breakfast and Conversation with Rady Admissions on November 24.

The MBA program at Rady School is focused on an exceptional student experience. Their goal is to offer small class sizes that focus on collaboration and encourage a tight-knit community where you can push your boundaries. Also, as evidenced by the Rady [X] event, UC San Diego has strong ties to the science and technology communities that call San Diego home. That’s why Rady is a hub of innovation, providing students with a wide array of opportunities.
