Alliant Ranked as Top 100 Minority Degree Producing Schools by Diverse

For the 8th year in a row, Alliant University ranks on the “Top 100 Minority Degree producers,” according to the latest scores from Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. The ranking looks at Associate, Undergraduate, and Graduate degrees awarded to Asian Americans, Hispanics, African Americans, and total minorities. Alliant has consistently scored well in these annual rankings, a representation of one of the school’s core pillars, a commitment to multiculturalism.

Alliant ranked first in awarding doctoral degrees in psychology to minorities and fifth in the number of doctorates of business awarded to Asian Americans. In total, Alliant ranked among the Top 100 universities in 22 different categories. You can view the full list of rankings by visiting the “The Top 100 Minority Degree Producers” rankings on the Diverse website.

In a recent press release, Alliant President Geoffrey Cox spoke about the ranking. “These rankings indicate that we are achieving our commitments to the 4 pillars of our mission, and in particular our emphases on scholarship and diversity,” he said. “Perhaps more importantly, they show that Alliant’s influence is disproportional to its size and scope. Although we focus on a relatively narrow range of academic disciplines and professions, the work of our faculty, students, and the staff who support them, gives our university an impact that is in many ways equal to that of much larger and more academically diverse institutions.”

Alliant’s San Diego campus is home to a diverse population of students with an age range of 20-80. In fact, the student body is 75 percent female and 25 percent male—with 25 percent of students being international or minority students. A total of 1,200 graduate students are enrolled at Alliant University San Diego each year.

The Alliant School of Management offers both a Full-Time and Part-Time MBA. One of the program’s missions is to prepare students to be a part of an increasingly global and diverse workforce.
