Alliant University Transitions to New Leadership

Starting in spring 2016, the Alliant International University Board of Trustees and University President, Dr. Geoffrey Cox, have agreed to begin a transition to new leadership. Dr. Cox has led the University for the past 11 years, since 2004, and will be taking a sabbatical during the 2016 spring semester to initiate the transition, according to a press release from the school.

Before joining Alliant, Dr. Cox held senior administrative and academic positions at Sanford University and the University of Chicago. He has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Chicago, and his undergraduate degree is from Knox College. Dr. Cox’s official end of tenure will occur at the end of the 2015/2016 academic year. The change will result in a national search for Alliant’s next president with the goal of appointing someone to the position during the course of the year.

During the transition period, the Board has appointed Mr. Andy Vaughn as Interim President. Mr. Vaughn is the Senior Vice President for Marketing and Student Experience and prior to his work at Alliant, he was President and CEO of Trident University.

Alliant International University is a private independent university offering graduate studies in a variety of subjects including business management.
