Registration is still open for the San Diego State University Student Research Symposium (SRS) 2016. Students can register until February 3, 2016. The SRS is a two-day event that recognizes the outstanding scholarly achievements of SDSU students.

SRS is a public forum where SDSU students can present their research, scholarship and creative activities. Presentations can be oral, poster, exhibit or performance, and are organized by academic disciplines with subdivisions for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. Even students who graduated after Spring 2015 are encouraged to submit their application and present their completed or preliminary research and creative activity results.

SRS participants have the opportunity to receive awards for their work. Presidential Awards of $500 will be granted to students for outstanding achievement in original scholarship. Graduate and undergraduate students who receive these awards will go on to represent SDSU at the CSU Student Research Competition in May 2016. In total, over 50 cash awards will be given in recognition of outstanding presentations and performance.

The ninth annual Student Research Symposium will be held on March 4 and March 5, 2016. To register for the event, students should visit the registration page. The SRS is a small part of SDSU’s Research Foundation, which has been committed to furthering educational, research, and community service for the past 70 years.
