Merage Ranked by US News
The Fully Employed MBA program at the Paul Merage School of Business has been ranked no. 37 in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 Best Business Schools rankings. This new ranking has moved Merage up nine spots. Merge has now also moved up in to the top five programs in California.
Tony Hansford, senior assistant dean of the Part-Time and Executive MBA Programs at the Merage School said that the new rankings can be accredited to the positive peer reviews that the school has received from other part-time MBA program leaders.
“This past year we have made a concerted effort to drive awareness of our distinctive program. We’ve maintained our focus on personalized attention, keeping each and every student engaged with personalized connections to our alumni and our strong corporate partner community,” said Hansford. “We’ve also increased outreach and collaboration with peer institutions and we have enhanced our online marketing efforts.”
The U.S. News part-time MBA ranking is based on five factors: average peer assessment score, average GMAT score and GRE scores of part-time MBA students entering in the fall of 2014, average undergraduate GPA, work experience and the percentage of the fall 2014 MBA enrollment that is part time.
The average peer assessment score is calculated from a fall 2014 survey that asked business school deans and MBA program directors at each of the nation’s 323 part-time MBA programs to rate the other part-time programs on a 5-point scale, from marginal to outstanding (one to five). To be eligible for the part-time ranking, a program must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and have at least 20 students enrolled part time in the fall of 2014.
