UD to Offer Evening MBA Courses in The Colony

The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas will begin offering MBA courses in The Colony, Texas as of the Fall 2015 term.  The expansion was prompted by the arrival and expansion of several multi-billion-dollar companies in the Plano area.

The courses will be held at the Cascades Event Center in The Colony. The Cascades Event Center is southwest of the intersection of Legacy Drive and State Highway 121 in Plano. The school will be hosting an open house for potential MBA applicants on Thursday, July 30.

“Offering the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business’ MBA courses at a location in The Colony means greater opportunity for area residents and business professionals to earn an advanced degree and improve their career potential,” said Brett J. L. Landry, the Interim Dean of the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. “The availability of higher education opportunities will continue to grow in importance in this area as more companies relocate their headquarters to The Colony/Plano areas.”

The MBA courses offered as part of the University of Dallas’ program in The Colony will be identical to the courses offered on the college’s Irving Campus. The University of Dallas’ MBA is AACSB-accredited and aims to provide students with the managerial, leadership, and business skills to excel in a corporate environment. Students in The Colony MBA evening classes will also have the opportunity to participate in the University of Dallas MBA Program’s “Capstone Experience,” in which students work with a real business client to address an operational or strategic issue in their entrepreneurial venture, organization, or company.
