Loyola Marymount Welcomes New CBA Associate Dean

Loyola Marymount University’s College of Business Administration recently appointed Bob Pettit as their associate dean and director of graduate programs, according to a press release from the school. Pettit will primarily be responsible for the recently revamped MBA program in his new position.

Pettit is joining LMU after a decade at UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he enjoyed success launching a new dual-degree program, implementing marketing initiatives, recruiting candidates, and cultivating impressive alumni. For the last 5 years of his stay at Anderson, Pettit served as executive director of the Global Executive MBA for the Americas program, which was the dean’s strategic initiative. Prior to this, he served as executive director of Anderson’s Office of Alumni Relations, where he reported to the senior associate dean of external affairs.

Pettit was excited to get started working at LMU. “As a Los Angeles native, I have very high regard for LMU and am thrilled to join the LMU family. I am excited about the unique strengths of our MBA program and the College of Business Administration,” he said in a press release from the school.
Dennis Draper, dean of the College of Business Administration, boasted Pettit’s prior success and his belief that he will help improve the reputation of Loyola Marymount’s MBA across the globe. “Bob’s extensive expertise in higher education and international business make him a wonderful asset to the college. His proven track record of success will support our efforts to enhance brand awareness and the reputation of our graduate business programs throughout Los Angeles and beyond,” he said in a press release.
