Loyola’s Women’s Leadership Council Hosts UrbanSitter Executive

Lizzie Alberga, General Manager of UrbanSitter Los Angeles, spoke to Loyola University MBA Alum and members of the University’s Women’s Leadership Council on questions facing women in leadership roles.

At an event in September, Alberga stressed the importance of defining what one needs to have the best possible quality of life at work and at home. She gave such guidelines as identifying resources; managing time wisely so that there is ample time for relaxation; building confidence by taking risks; letting go of control in certain situations; and releasing oneself from perfectionism.

She also addressed the importance of a strong work/life balance, which, she advised, often relies upon asking for help from outside resources.

On her blog, Alberga writes, “I…live to never regret and my biggest passion in life is to help other women feel as confident and self-assured as [possible].”

Prior to becoming General Manager at UrbanSitter, Alberga served as VP of Marketing and Brand at Evite and Strategic Business Development Manager and Partner at xoGroup. She attended UC Irvine where she received her BA in Economics, and studied abroad in Siena, Italy.

“I believe every company has a soul and a living energy that can be felt in the halls, through screens and boardroom doors,” she writes, “I believe cultivating this energy into positive infectious energy is paramount to developing true customer loyalty.”
