Henley EMBA Ranks Top 50 in the World

For the second year in a row, the Financial Times ranked Henley Business School at the University of Reading as one of the top 50 EMBA programs in the world. The school ascended two places since last year’s ranking and was positioned as one of the top 10 programs in the UK and among the top 20 in Europe.

In particular, the Henley EMBA program stood out in three areas:

  1. Salary and Career: Henley EMBAs are very successful at achieving their personal and professional goals. In fact, the school placed as one of the top 25 schools in the world for post-EMBA percentage salary increases—with most EMBAs receiving an average 60 percent increase.
  2. Diverse Learning: Henley also stands out as a school with a diverse and unique faculty. Henley ranks 1st in the world regarding female students and faculty, and it also ranks highly in international faculty and students. In both cases, the MBA students at Henley benefit from a diverse and open culture.
  3. Research Quality: Finally, Henley ranks 13th in the world for the level and depth of its research. Research is at the heart of the school, which is home to 150 specialist-faculty, many of whom are internationally renowned for their research. In fact, 88 percent of all full-time faculty at Henley holds a Ph.D. degree.

In a press release from the university, John Board, the dean of Henley Business School spoke about the ranking.

“For 70 years our focus has been to empower individuals to become great professionals and outstanding business leaders who act with integrity and once again this has been recognized in these global rankings,” it reads. “It is gratifying that the quality of the Henley experience and the impact on our participants’ careers is also reflected across other published results this year, including undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education.”

Overall, for the UK, the Financial Times ranked Henley as follows:

  • 1st for number of Ph.D. and DBA graduates
  • 1st for percentage of female faculty
  • 4th for percentage of female students
  • 4th for graduate aims achieved.
