2 Female EMBAs Win Scholarships from Saïd Business

Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford is committed to empowering the next generation of women leaders. To achieve their goal, they awarded two exceptional female candidates with scholarships to help support their career goals.

Kathy Harvey, the Director of the EMBA at Said spoke about the applicants and the awards in a University news release.

Oxford Saïd offers an environment in which women can explore their leadership potential and emerge with the knowledge, skills and critical thinking required to excel in whichever field they choose.”

The Female EMBA Winners

Christine Li-Auyeung

Christine is a CPA and the Senior Vice President at StoneCastle Screen Shot 2016-08-17 at 1.03.39 PMPartners LLC in New York. She serves as her company’s liaison to the Chinese American Bankers Association. Outside of her work at StoneCastle, Christine also has experience working in the nonprofit sector. She founded the Wall Street Careers Program (Financial Leadership Program) at the Baruch College Staff Career Development Center.

Christine was awarded the Oxford EMBA Women’s Scholarship in association with the 30% Club—a United Kingdom-based organization committed to achieving a minimum of 30% women on FTSE-100 boards. The goal of the scholarship is to support the number of female MBA candidates and to encourage them to take senior leadership roles. The scholarship provided Christine with 50% off her program fees after deposit.

Melissa Cassar

Melissa is the Director and Head of North America Screen Shot 2016-08-17 at 1.03.31 PMCommunications for BNY Mellon Investment Management. She manages and oversees regional communications for over $1.6 trillion in asset management business for BNY Mellon. Her duties include media relations, global sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and events.

Melissa was awarded The Alumni Annual Fund Forté Foundation Fellowship for Women, worth 15,000 pounds. Regarding the fellowship fund, Melissa said, “The Forte Foundation Fellowship provides me the opportunity to progress in my career as a strong and vocal leader.  It has enabled me to take part in a truly global Executive MBA and to continue to be inspired by the great political and business leaders who have attended Oxford University.”
