In recent years, Latin American countries and economies have made great political advancements and have become more stable.  Led by two emerging global powerhouses in Brazil and Mexico, Latin American’s emerging markets like Peru and Colombia are also expected to rise in the ranks of the global economy in the next few years.

But all of this growth does present its governmental challenges: between 2003 and 2011, 50 million Latin Americans joined the middle class, increasing demands for imporved social services and more equitable policies will increase.  Yet social and economic inequality persists throughout Latin America, presenting multifaceted issues for both domestic and foreign interests to consider.

You can also sit in on panel discussions on the region’s economic, political and social prospects, and real estate markets. Last but certainly not least, you will be able to mingle during a catered networking reception at the UCLA Fowler Museum

The 2014 Latin American Business Conference will bring together respected leaders from multiple industries in Latin America to explore some of the critical economic and financial issues facing the region.  The speakers will discuss particular industries as well as address the overall macroeconomic trends that must be considered when doing business in Latin America.

Registration and check-in will open at 1:00pm on Friday and the opening session will begin at 1:30pm.
