New Bay Area Tech Jobs Emerge for MBAs
As every aspect of our lives increasingly becomes tangled in the tech’s tendrils, we have seen many opportunities for professionals from a wide swath of backgrounds accompany the rapacious growth of the industry.
MBAs, long ago personas non-grata in Silicon Valley, are now in high demand at iconic brands like Apple (CEO Tim Cook is a Duke Fuqua alum), Facebook (COO Sheryl Sandberg graduated with a Harvard MBA in 1995), and Microsoft (CEO Satya Nadella is a Chicago Booth alum).
This week’s new openings are largely found in California, with a litany of Bay Area Tech jobs ideal for MBA graduates who want to work in an environment where they can “move fast and break things,” to quote Mark Zuckerberg.

Wharton’s Adam Grant on Selflessness, Creativity, and Resilience
Adam Grant is no stranger to revolutionary ideas. In fact, some consider he is somewhat of a revolutionary. As Wharton’s youngest ever tenured academic professor (he received his at the ripe old age of 28), Grant has evolved to become one of the country’s leading thinkers in management and organizational psychology.
He is also, as his New York Times byline states, “a former advertising director, magician and junior Olympic springboard diver.”
After receiving a B.A. from Harvard and a Master’s and Ph. D. from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, he accepted an invitation from UNC Chapel Hill as an Assistant Professor. Grant’s academic papers received wide attention, propelling him to an associate professorship in 2009 and his later tenured professorship at Wharton.

YouTube CEO and UCLA Anderson Alum Susan Wojcicki Responds to Google Memo
Earlier this month, Google found itself in the midst of controversy after an internal memo from now-former employee James Damore was released to the staff. His out-of-nowhere diatribe claimed, more or less, that women are less biologically capable of being software engineers than their male counterparts.
