Lake Forest Leadership MBA (LMBA) Program Structure

Students earn three leadership graduate certificates (Change Management Certificate, Management Analytics Certificate and Strategy and Execution Certificate) and their MBA.

LMBA students determine their own pace for moving through the curriculum, taking either one or two courses. Students are free to set their academic schedule between weeknight and Saturday classes at either the Lake Forest Campus or Schaumburg Location, or to take online classes from anywhere, anytime 24/7. Based on students’ personal preferences and the schedule they set for themselves, the program can be finished in as little as 18 months or take as long as six years to complete.

Curriculum

The LMBA consists of 13 core graduate courses and a capstone course in Strategic Management, plus three elective courses of the student’s choice between 18 different offerings. LFGSM courses require completion of self-paced online learning modules known as Keys To Your Success (KEYS), which provide roughly four-hour introductions to key concepts in the core coursework. New classes start every eight weeks.

Class Profile

Fifty-eight percent of Leadership MBA students are male while 42 percent identify as female. Approximately 23 percent of the class identifies as minority students.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

For the Lake Forest Leadership program, tuition is $3,510 per course and $3,510 for the Global Focus. Over 16 required courses, tuition comes to $56,160.

LFGSM awards MBA scholarships for up to 50 percent of the course tuition. In order to apply for these scholarships, applicants must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The scholarships offered at LFGSM are as follows: General Fund Scholarship, Yellow Ribbon Scholarship, Aldo Cabri Endowed Scholarship, Maurice F. “Moose” Dunne Entrepreneurial Scholarship, Hotchkiss Scholar Scholarship, Joseph A. Kaule Scholarship, Desmond and Jeanne LaPlace Scholarship for Nonprofit Managers, Shaw Family Scholarship, Richard and Joan Syer Scholarship, Trustmark Scholarship, and the Daniel J. Yomin Endowed Scholarship.

Admissions

Applicants for LFGSM Leadership MBA Program must complete the online application, schedule an admissions interview, submit official academic transcripts, and one letter of recommendation as well as a personal statement to the Office of Admissions. Finally, a $75 application fee is required. A minimum of four years of professional experience is required for the LMBA.
