Manager, Financial Risk Management — Capitol One

Based in McLean, Virginia, Capitol One is a bank specializing in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts. It is the tenth-largest bank in the U.S. by assets and one of the largest credit card issuers in the country.

Capitol One is looking for a Manager for the company’s headquarters in McLean. The person hired to this position will serve as a manager for the Finance Risk Management team. This team is responsible for identifying and monitoring business risk associated with the Controllers Teams’ activities and projects. This person will also work to manage government compliance requirements across the company. Candidates for this position should have at least four years of relevant experience, and an MBA is preferred.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with functional teams across the business area to identify areas for improvement
  • Designing new business procedures
  • Acting as the audit’s point of contact and tracking remediation of audit findings

Accounting Director — Lionsgate

Lionsgate Entertainment is one of the largest film production and distribution companies in the United States. Some of the films that the company has been connected with recently include John Wick: Parabellum, Long Shot, and Rambo: Last Blood. In addition to its film work, Lionsgate also works in television as owner of premium channel Starz.

Lionsgate is looking for an Accountant to work out of its office in Santa Monica, California. The person hired for this position will be responsible for reconciling and creating policies and procedures for the company’s intercompany accounts. Candidates for this position should have relevant previous experience, and an MBA is preferred.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating reports to classify intercompany balances
  • Settling intercompany obligations

Portfolio Administrator — BB&T

BB&T offers a wide range of financial services, including retail and commercial banking, investments, insurance, wealth management, asset management, mortgage, corporate banking, capital markets, and specialized lending. Based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the company currently hires more than 35,000 employees across more than 15 states and the District of Columbia.

BB&T is looking for a Portfolio Administrator to work in its Charlotte office for Sterling Capital Management. The person hired for this position will be responsible for performing portfolio accounting, reconciliation, and reporting. This person will be responsible for overseeing accounting for an assigned set of accounts. Candidates for this position should have at least five years of previous relevant experience, and an MBA is preferred.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring transaction/position integrity in Sterling’s records
  • Research and remediate reconciliation discrepancies
  • Managing operational aspects of new account onboarding

Accountant – Reg Reporting — MetLife

MetLife is one of the world’s largest providers of insurance, annuities, and employee benefit programs, with 90 million customers across 60 countries. Based in New York City, the company serves 90 companies listed on the Fortune 500.

MetLife is hiring an Accountant to work from the company’s Tampa office. The person hired for this position will be primarily responsible for preparing and reviewing GAAP financial statements, XBRL tagging review, embedded value reporting, and various other reporting-related projects. Candidates for this position should have at least two years of prior relevant experience, and an MBA is preferred.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with quarterly and year-end GAAP reporting
  • Assisting with quarterly and year-end EV reporting
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders for information reported within the notes to the financial statements
