Fordham GBA Launches New Program for US/UK Veterans

veteransThe Graduate School of Business Administration (GBA) and the School of Professional and Continuing Studies at Fordham University yesterday announced the launch of a new entrepreneur training program to serve veterans of both the United States and the United Kingdom.

The Global Veterans Venture: U.S./U.K. Global Citizens Program will give veterans from both countries a chance to study side by side. The unique offering combines academic, social, vocational and entrepreneurial elements that build upon the experiences and training they gained as part of service to their countries. The eight-month program will begin in spring 2014 at Fordham London Centre.

Fordham GBA Dean David Gautschi, a Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam, announced the new program at an information session yesterday morning for prospective veteran applicants at Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus. The session provided an overview of all the services offered to veterans at the Fordham Lincoln Center campus, as well as application and enrollment information for undergraduate and graduate study.

Military Times ranked Fordham – which currently enrolls almost 300 veterans – as the most “Veteran Friendly” institution in New York City for the third consecutive year. The number of veterans enrolled at Fordham has grown tenfold since 2009, the school reports. Fordham GBA guarantees maximum participation with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs Yellow Ribbon Program, which covers up to 100 percent of tuition and fees for eligible students based on service requirements.
