Stillman Supply Chain Management MBA Student Wins Scholarship

Dawn Jaeckel, a second-year MBA student at the Stillman School of Business, has won a $5,000 scholarship from the Containerization & Intermodal Institute. The Containerization & Intermodal Institute is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the community focused around intermodal container transportation and international trade. The scholarship is sponsored by the United States Maritime Alliance.

Jaeckel is working towards an MBA with a concentration in supply chain management at Stillman. She earned her undergraduate degree fifteen years ago, and worked full time before pursuing an MBA at Stillman. She is currently a full-time project manager for Jackson Hewitt, and she participated in the Micah Seminar on business leadership at Stillman during the fall semester.

Jaeckel was honored at the 2013 Connie Awards Ceremony. The CEO and chairman of Norton Lilly International, H. Winchester Thurber III, was also honored at the Connie Awards. Jaeckel received her scholarship and had the opportunity to network with industry professionals.

This year has seen several Stillman students receive awards in supply chain management. Wambui Gathu was recently awarded the Institute of Supply Chain Management-Capital One Scholarship. MBA student Sean Rainford won the 2013 Rhoda Isaacs Scholarship in Supply Chain Management competition. Finally, Shamir Goicochea, an undergraduate business administration and finance major, also received a scholarship from the Container and Intermodal Institute.
