Stillman Ranked No. 23 in Public Accounting Report

In the Annual Professor’s Survey in The Public Accounting Report, the Stillman School of Business has been ranked no. 23 in the country for its Master’s in Accounting. The Public Accounting Report has named Seton Hall University as a top 25 Master’s program for schools with 15 or fewer Full-Time Accounting Faculty.

The rankings are based on votes by professors from over 200 colleges in the United States. The Public Accounting Report is the only survey in which accounting professors rank the nation’s best accounting programs.

“This milestone reflects a great deal of hard work by our faculty and especially by Dr. David Mest and Dean Joyce Strawser” said Dr. Mark Holtzman, Chair of the Department of Accounting and Taxation. Dr. Holtzman continued, “We have long touted our program as one of the best. Our Accounting Accreditation with AACSB International provides external validation of the quality of learning, research, and administration at Seton Hall.”

The Stillman School of Business has the only accounting program in Northern New Jersey accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Success within the Accounting program was evident this past May, where 88 percent of seniors walking in Commencement had full-time jobs in accounting.

With fall classes underway, the Stillman School of Business will continue to grow with its success as one of the premiere accounting programs in the country. Dr. Holtzman added, “We have an exciting year coming up. I’m quite proud of some of the innovative coursework that our professors have developed.”
