One Day Immersion Conference at Lubin Offers Media Scholarships

The Lubin School of Business has announced that the One Day Immersion in Tv, Cable and Digital Entertainment will offer media scholarships to students who participate in the conference. The Lubin School of Business is among 120 colleges and universities across the United States that participate in the conference. The conference, produced by  Dolly Wolf Enterprises, LLC, was created to give the next generation of industry leaders the opportunity to learn from industry executives and develop strategic relationships for the future.

The conference is held in both New York City and in Denver. This year’s conference will feature student ambassadors from the Lubin School. The 2015 conference in New York City will be held on Oct. 23, at The Michael Schimmel Center for the The Arts at Pace University. The event is free for all who want to attend. Those who cannot be at the conference in person are also welcome to join the conference online during a live streaming of the events.

The ODI Scholars program, established by the Executive Committee for the 2015 One Day Immersion conference, will award two $2000 scholarships to current college students to help support and encourage the next generation of media industry innovators. One scholarship will be creative and the other technology focused. Scholarship recipients will also receive ten hours of mentoring sessions with a media industry professional. There will also be two Runners-Ups scholarships awarded, one Creative and one Technology-focused, both for $500 plus ten hours of mentoring sessions.

Students can apply for the ODI Scholars scholarship. To apply, students must write a 750-word essay on Living Your Creative Life or Your Technology Life Through Media; How you Plan on Using it. Essays should focus on what the student is passionate about and how their idea would add quality to their life. Applications must be received by Oct. 1. Full competition guidelines for applications can be found at www.onedayimmersion.com.
