Interactive Launch Competition Seeks MBA Teams
The Interactive Launch Competition invites New York City MBA students to enter the March 9 event.
Student teams of three to five members present go-to-market strategies for emerging video product and service innovations. The teams will be paired with mentor companies that have, in the past, included Cisco, Comcast Media Center, HBO, IBM, QVC, Samsung and TiVo. Teams also receive support from a coaches council of industry experts.
Teams present 10-minute plans to a judges panels. In recent case competitions, executives from companies such as Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, NBCUniversal and Fox Networks have served as judges. Teams compete for awards and cash prizes.
Schools that have participated in past case competitions include University of Chicago – Booth School of Business, Columbia Business School, Harvard Business School, Howard University – School of Business, MIT- Sloan School of Management, New York University – Stern School of Business, USC- Marshall School of Business and UCLA – Anderson School of Management.
The event’s student information kit quotes a past participant as saying: “It was extremely professional, thought-provoking and fun. This was an extremely good learning experience for everyone on the team and a valuable use of our time.”
The Interactive Launch Competition will take place at the Horowitz Cultural Insights Forum at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan. There are no fees for students to participate.
The event, now in its fifth year, is produced by Craig Leddy of Interactive TV Works. Reservations are due by Jan. 30. The student team application is available online.
