The time of the two-year MBA is coming to an end. Now, many top schools offer accelerated MBA programs that can be completed in as little as 12 months—with one school offering a nine-month MBA program designed just for business school graduates. So where you can find the fastest MBA degrees in NYC?

For most of these one-year NYC business school programs, the MBA curriculum and experience is similar to that of the traditional two-year MBA but condensed into a more intense 12-month format. These are the ideal programs for business professionals who do not have the time to take off two years of work but want the full MBA experience.

Binghamton University School of Management

The One-Year MBA from Binghamton University’s School of Management begins in June and ends in May (12 months). It’s available to students who have diverse backgrounds and professional experiences but have clearly defined career goals. To apply, students must also have taken coursework in economics and statistics as a baseline. As for the curriculum, it’s divided into three semesters: summer, fall, and spring. Five courses are required for each semester and include core classes like Accounting for Managers, Organizational Behavior, and Strategic Management, as well as numerous elective courses.

The school also offers a variety of Fast-Track MBA program options:

  • The Professional Fast-Track MBA is also only 12-months and can be completed while working full time with classes held on Saturdays only.
  • The Management Fast-Track MBA is only nine months and designed ONLY for students who completed their undergraduate degree in business from an AACSB-accredited institution.

Lehigh University College of Business and Economics

The full-time, One Year MBA program from Lehigh University’s College of Business and Economics is designed for professionals who are looking to accelerate their careers within their chosen field. The program includes rigorous curriculum on functional areas of business and offers a similar experience to the traditional two-year MBA model.

The 12-month program begins in July and ends in May with three breaks (totaling five weeks) provided throughout the 46-week program. The program structure is broken down into five sections of varying lengths including a 6-week summer section, two 8-week fall sections, a 3-week winter section, and a 17-week spring finale. Over the course of the program, students take classes in Quantitative Elements, Accounting, Strategy, Consulting, and more. In addition, students have the opportunity to go on a Global Immersion study experience.

SC Johnson Graduate School of Management – Cornell University

The One-Year MBA program at Cornell SC Johnson‘s Ithaca campus is the perfect choice for professionals looking to advance their leadership roles and skills. It’s ideal for scientists, lawyers, engineers, accountants, and more. The program begins and ends in May (12 months), and requires students to take courses across a range of topics including consulting, entrepreneurship, and financial analysis.

At Cornell, the One-Year MBA is recognized as the same equivalent program as the two-year MBA. The difference is in the experience a student has coming into the program. One-Year students are typically 30 years of age, have six years of work experience, and an average GMAT of 687. Stern School of Business – New York University

If you’re on the lookout for a one-year MBA degree from one of the top business schools in New York City, look no further than the Andre Koo Tech MBA from NYU Stern. It’s a fast, one-year, full-time MBA program that maximizes your time and financial investment.

This MBA program focused on technology requires students to earn just 51 credits over the course of a year. Classes run from May to May and include courses on business core topics such as leadership, marketing, and strategy. The curriculum then focuses on tech core with courses provided in partnership with NYU’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences including dealing with data, network technologies, and devops and software engineering.

In addition to the in-class curriculum, the Tech MBA from NYU Stern also focuses on experiential learning to help students build their skill sets. The opportunities include:

The One-Year program has a relatively simple structure that is broken down into four blocks or semesters. Classes are offered both during the day and late afternoon/evening for the ultimate in convenience. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Summer Block 1: Daytime classes on topics such as Business Communication, Managing People, and Business Law & Ethics.
  • Summer Block 2: Daytime classes coving Business and Society Relationships and Firms in the Global Economy.
  • Fall: Late afternoon/evening classes including Business Consulting and Electives.
