Columbia’s New Exec. Education Courses Train Effective Leaders

Columbia Business School recently published an article on a new series of Executive Education courses designed to train effective leaders and “to help participants think like entrepreneurs while working within large organizations,” according to Executive Education executive director Donna Sharp.

  1. Mastering Corporate Entrepreneurship teaches executives to create “new businesses from within their firms” by addressing ideation, incubation and acceleration.”
  2. Developing and Leading High-Performance Teams teaches executives in leadership roles to more effectively manage and lead teams.
  3. From Idea to Prototype in 5 Days teaches executives to reduce risk and increase profits during product development through Google Ventures’ rapid prototyping process, which combines design, engineering, and business concepts.
  4. Quantitative Intuition: Making Smarter Decisions with Imperfect Information teaches executives “how to make bold decisions, even with incomplete information” through a unique quantitative framework that synthesizes “information from a clutter of data.”
  5. Design Your Innovation Blueprint: Leveraging Systemic Inventive Thinking teaches “participants how to generate creative and useful solutions to problems” by planning, developing and implementing “self-sustaining innovation for their organizations.”
  6. Innovate on Demand teaches participants toovercome barriers to innovative ideas” by “leveraging their knowledge and expertise” to quickly “generate and implement their own creative ideas.”
