MBA@Syracuse Online Program Structure

The Whitman School of Management MBA@Syracuse program offers prospective students the same experience as earning a full-time degree, but with added flexibility of a 100 percent online format. The AACSB-accredited program offers unique specializations in: Accounting, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing Management and Supply Chain Management. Classes are generally small and course are available for re-reviewing 24/7.

Curriculum

The MBA@Syracuse program at the Whitman School of Management requires 54 credits in order to complete the programs. Those 54 credits are segmented by 36 core business course credits, 15 credits in elective/specialization courses and a three credit Capstone Project in U.S. and global residencies. Students have the option to start the program in January, April, July or October.

Careers

MBA@Syracuse students at the Whitman School of Management are offered a litany of specialized career development tools to prepare them for life after graduation. Included is the unique Virtual Career Center; a self-development course built on career-coaching concepts and real-time sessions. Also included in the program is hands-on career coaching, personalized for each student, résumé and cover letter reviews, interview prep consultation and the chance to join the expansive Whitman Alumni Group and Syracuse alumni clubs, expanding networking opportunities the world over.

Tuition & Financial Aid

The current tuition rate for the MBA@Syracuse online program is $81,000 for the entire 54 credit program. Individual credits cost an estimated $1,500. There are no additional online fees. However, texbooks, housing and travel are not included in the tuition estimates. As well, those enrolled are expected to pay a one-time tech service fee for the program.

Along with Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans, worth up to $20,500 per year, and private loans, graduate students have the opportunity to fund their education through Federal Direct PLUS Loans, which can cover any extra tuition fees as well as living fees. Scholarships and special offers for military veterans are also available through the university.

Application Process

Applicants for the MBA@Syracuse online program are encourage to submit GMAT or GRE scores, but it is not a requirement for admission for those that have five or more years of professional work experience. Military veterans with five or more years of service are also not required to submit GMAT or GRE scores to enter the program.

Students eligible to join the MBA@Syracuse program must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and at least one year of full-time professional work experience. Students are asked to include two personal essays with their admission application, two letters of recommendation, all official transcripts, and a Résumé/CV. Several applicants may be asked to participate in an online interview with several admissions committee members. There is a one-time application fee of $75 that can be reduced to $45 as long as applications are submitted before the priority deadline.

International applicants born in non-native English speaking countries are required to submit either an IELTS, PTE or TOEFL score with an application. This requirement may be waived if the applicant has studied or worked in a native-English speaking country for four or more years, or, have a U.S. bachelor’s degree equivalent. Equivalent degrees can be found via a WES credential evaluation report.
