La Salle University Online MBA Program Structure

La Salle offers the Online MBA in the following areas: accounting, business systems and analytics, finance, management, or marketing. Coursework for each specialty can be completed in as few as 14 months, and is comprised of 33-39 credit hours.

Curriculum

The Online MBA requires students to complete 11-14 courses, two of which are foundational, and only necessary if the applicant has not completed equivalent coursework with a grade of B or higher. The remainder of the curriculum is composed of 3-4 core courses; three specialization courses in the chosen area of focus; four executive perspectives courses, and an integrative capstone course. All courses are eight weeks in length.

Careers

La Salle’s Online MBA is designed for students who need to manage the obligations of career and family along with their studies. Each area of specialization emphasizes real-world applications. The Accounting MBA trains students for present or future careers in auditing, research, and financial reporting. There is a particular focus in all accounting courses upon online privacy and financial security issues. The Business Systems and Analytics MBA prepares students for roles in equity research, marketing, supply chain management, and business intelligence, among others.

In the finance specialization, students gain a theoretical and practical knowledge of for careers in securities, investment management, mutual and hedge fund management, or commercial banking. With the Management MBA, students can develop their knowledge base for application in a number of careers as they focus on organizational dynamics and rational decision making. The Marketing Specialty gives students a deeper knowledge of consumer behavior and strategic marketing intelligence, and apply these skills directly in their careers.

Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition for each online MBA ranges from $29,601 for those who require 33 credit hours, and $34,983 for those taking 39 credits. Cost per credit hour is $897. Tuition is the same for in-state and out-of-state students. The total cost of the program with no course waivers is $34,983.

La Salle offers a variety of options for financial aid, including grants, federal and alternative loans, scholarships, and tuition exchange.

Admissions Procedures

The requirements for the Online MBA are official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities; a current professional resume; and GMAT test scores. Certain students may submit GRE scores if granted permission by the department. Both of these requirements may be waived if the student has earned an undergrad business degree with a minimum 3.2 GPA. Students with at least a 3.0 and three years of professional experience may also obtain a waiver, as can those with five or more years of work experience.

Students with a minimum 3.0 GPA in any undergraduate discipline and at least two years of work experience are also eligible for a waiver. After achieving a minimum of a B- in each course, as well as an overall 3.3 GPA, GMAT or GRE scores will also be waived.
