Cal State Fullerton Fully Employed MBA Program Structure

Designed for fully employed professionals, the three-year Cal State Fullerton Fully Employed MBA (FEMBA) at Mihaylo College of Business’ basic curriculum consists of 45 semester units (15 courses). The courses are held at CSU Fullerton’s Irvine campus.

Curriculum

The Cal State Fullerton Fully Employed MBA requires 36 months to complete, and is offered in a cohort format.

Attending class twice a week, from 7 to 9:45 p.m., students take one course every 6-8 weeks. Students complete two courses each fall and spring semester and one course during summer.

Foundational courses (30 units or ten courses) at Mihaylo emphasize conceptual, analytical, technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

FEMBA students complete a general concentration (12 units or four courses) focusing on team leadership, financial administration, marketing and comparative management.

Also required of FEMBA students is one capstone course (three units), which matches student teams with a local business for a consulting project.

Students may also opt to travel abroad with faculty and other students to learn more about international business environments. Travel abroad experience replaces one elective course.

Class Profile

Students enrolling in the FEMBA program must have a minimum three years of professional work experience, although many applicants typically have more. Each Mihaylo MBA cohort usually features around 25 students.
