The Temple University part-time MBA at the Fox School of Business is a flexible program that can be completed in as little as two years or over a longer period of time, based on a student’s needs. The curriculum calls for 33 credits of required coursework and 15 credits of electives. The majority of courses are held at Temple’s Center City facilities, near City Hall. The school also recently added part-time classes in Conshohocken, about 25 minutes from Center City Philadelphia. The Temple part-time MBA program numbers 48 credits in total and emphasizes real-world experience and team-based learning, but doesn’t divide students into “cohorts” like the full-time program. Students complete a core curriculum that consists of foundational business and advanced managerial perspectives courses along with the mandatory Management Consulting Capstone. The capstone is an experiential learning opportunity for students to work on a real consulting case, and past clients have included both large and small, profit and nonprofit firms, and those located in the U.S. and abroad.
There are more than ten academic concentrations available to part-time students, including business management, entrepreneurship, information technology management and innovation management. In addition to the required core curriculum, students take five electives.
According to the most recent data, the Temple part-time MBA enrolls roughly 50 students concurrently. An even number of male and female-identifying students enrolled, and they were, on average, 33 years of age. Twenty percent of the class held an advanced degree upon enrollment, and matriculating students averaged nine years of professional work experience. The average GMAT score posted by enrolled students is 620, and the average GPA is 3.3.
