The 20-month full-time MBA at the McGill University Desautels Faculty of Management requires 57 credits in order to complete. The credits break down as follows:

The McGill University Desautels Faculty of Management full-time MBA begins with a two-week “Base Camp” in early August, designed specifically to bring incoming students up to speed with the forthcoming curriculum. The program begins the requisite core curriculum, which consists of five modules and a case competition. The elective coursework begins in the second semester, with students choosing between one of four available concentrations: finance; marketing; global leadership; and business analytics. The final required element of the program is the “Experiential Component,” which can feature a six-credit internship or practicum, or a 12-credit exchange program. An additional international trip is worth six credits as well.

Canadian residents are eligible for federal and private loans. However, international applicants may have to fund their education through private loans only.


In order to apply to the McGill Desautels full-time MBA program, applicants must submit:

• GMAT/GRE scores
• Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS scores) if necessary

At least two years of previous work experience is required in order to apply. Strong candidates may be invited to interview with the Desautels admissions team. International students may conduct interviews digitally via Skype, while local students will be invited on campus.
