Canada MBA Programs That Don’t Require the GMAT or GRE

Below is a list of business schools in Canada that don’t require the GMAT or GRE. More information on the GMAT and GRE can be found in our MetroMBA No GMAT and GRE Guide and a complete list of MBA programs in Canada on our Canada MBA page.
Please note that many of these programs are executive MBA programs, which typically cater to applicants with many years of professional experience. Click on a program profile below to see if you meet the eligibility requirements for that program.
Strong applicants to several of the MBA options at the Beedie School of Business may be eligible for a GMAT waiver.
There are no prerequisite requirements–including GMAT/GRE scores–to enroll in the Executive Education program at DeGroote.
The 15-month joint The McGill-HEC Montréal Executive MBA program does not require GMAT/GRE scores as part of the admissions process, but it is strongly suggested to strengthen one's candidacy.

For Ivey’s Accelerated MBA Program, the GMAT is not required for HBA graduates with a 78 percent or higher average over HBA 1 and HBA 2 combined.
The GMAT is required in order to be considered for scholarships and awards. For the Executive MBA Program, applicants should send their résumés to be reviewed, after which they will be notified whether or not they need to take the GMAT exam for entrance to the program.
The John Molson School of Business at Concordia University offers two programs that do not explicitly require GMAT test scores: the Executive MBA program, in which students have the option to take the Executive Assessment instead of the GMAT, and the MBA in Investment program, which allows those that have completed the CFA level one examination to be exempt from submitting GMAT results.
The Executive MBA programs at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University does not require the submission of GMAT/GRE scores as part of its admissions process, but scores can help boost one's candidacy. In addition, GMAT/GRE scores are not completely required for those that enroll in the Accelerated MBA, but it is required for any scholarship applications through the school. As well, GMAT requirements can be waived for select applicants.
Rotman’s Full-Time MBA and Part-Time MBA do require the GMAT for most applicants, but the GMAT is waived for those candidates who who have completed CFA III. Executive MBA candidates may not need to submit a GMAT score, depending on the rest of their profile.
The Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA Program does not require the GMAT of candidates who satisfy the program’s academic requirements. Submit a copy of your transcripts to find out if you are exempt from the GMAT.
The Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa MBA program can be completed in a full-time "intensive" version that lasts only 12 months.
The Vancouver Island University Faculty of Graduate Management MBA takes only 14-16 months to complete and does not require any GMAT scores for entry.
For Laurier’s Part-Time Alternate Weekend MBA, GMAT scores are only mandatory for anyone who completed their undergraduate degree outside of Canada.
