Smith School of Business Full-Time MBA Program Structure

The Smith School of Business at Queen’s University full-time MBA is a 12 month program that begins in January. Students in the program complete two distinct modules: the “Foundations Level,” which is comprised of core courses, and the “Mastery” level, which is more geared to the student’s specific concentrations.

The Foundations Level features 13 core courses and an integrative project, lasting the first six months of the program. The Mastery level features core courses and electives centered around concentrations, lasting the final six months of the program.

There is also an optional “Expert” level, in which students may choose a second Master’s degree, which may include: Masters of Management of Artificial Intelligence; Master of Finance; Master of Management Analytics; Juris Doctorate; and MSc in Healthcare Quality. With the additional dual degree, the program takes 16 months to complete.

Curriculum

There are currently six specialization options for the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University full-time MBA program: consulting; digital transformation; entrepreneurship and innovation; finance; management analytics; and marketing & sales. To complete a certification requires 12 credits of course work.

Admissions

In order to apply to the Smith School of Business full-time MBA program, applicants must submit:

• Two video questions and a written response
• A Canadian study permit (for international applicants).
